- You might try to obtain a yaesu 470 antenna. Order from yaesu as a
- replacement part. The 530 antenna is well known around here as a designer
- dummy-load. The single band antennas will always perform better than the
- dual-band compromisers.

- Subject: any Hams at NASA/AMES RC?
- To: info-hams@ucsd.edu

- Hello,
- I have a friend at NASA/AMES in Cali who is interested in
- amateur radio. I'll be taking part in a special event station
- operation thid Saterday out here in Ithaca, NY. Its the Cabim
- (read that as Cabin!) Fever Festival. Its a family type event.
- We'll be running on 2,10,20,40,80 whatever else meters we can
- get ops for. I'll personally be on 10m.
- I was wondering if there were any hams at Nasa/Ames who would
- be able to point my friend toward a station he could make a 3-rd
- party at. I've heard once that Nasa/Ames had a pretty active club
- but I could be mistaken.
- If not, could you get in touch with me?

- Looking in the ARRL Handbook I see that "they" have determined that the

- |> Funny this comes up today. Last night at our RACES Strike Team meeting
- |> one of the members mentions she has found this radio harness used by Ski
- |> Patrol groups in this Ski patrol catalog. If we can make a minimum order
- |> of 10 units, we can get them for about $15 each. These are black nylon
-
- Could you please post the name and address for the catalog?
